A Spotlight on Kentucky Filmmakers features the work of filmmakers native to or living in the state of Kentucky. If you are interested in seeing your work become part of our program, please submit your film(s) to:

THE NEXT DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS APRIL 1, 2010.

We will view these films as they are received, the sooner we receive
your work the better. We accept all formats but prefer DV-CAM, DV, Mini
DV, DVC PRO, or DVD. Please include your contact information with your
film. Films of any length not exceeding 27 minutes are acceptable.

Feel free to send art films, experimental films, documentaries,
narrative films, student films, etc. Be mindful that /Reel Visions/ is
intended for an all ages, PBS viewing audience.

The Derby City Film Festival
Nothing to do in the dog days of Winter?
How about getting out of the house and checking out Louisville's largest locally run independent film festival of all genres!
After weeks and months of screening over 250 submissions our selection committee has chosen 45 films for the upcoming festival!
The films represent 12 countries and include 13 International films, 14 world premieres and 7 US premieres! There are panel discussions, workshops, after parties and so much more planned for the festival!

TICKETS ON SALE NOW ON-LINE! Individual screenings and short film groups only $6.00 or get a day or fest pas and save! $1 of each ticket and pass will benefit Bellewood Youth Homes!

Winners will be announced during the Awards Luncheon on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the 17th Austin Film Festival and Conference.
AFF puts your film in front of the right people. In past years, film competition juries have included a mix of filmmakers, film critics, festival programmers, and representatives from major media companies such as MGM, Paramount Vantage, Adult Swim, Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. These are the people you want viewing your film. Enter the contest and give them the chance.
AFF was picked by MovieMaker Magazine as one of its “25 Festivals Worth The Fee” stating that, “…the festivals that are worth your fee and your time can make all the difference in your burgeoning career.”

2010 Indianapolis International Film Festival
· Founded in 2004, the festival is quickly becoming the organization Indianapolis turns to when they think independent film.

· This year, the festival runs July 15-25 and is hosted at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, one of the premier art museums in the country.

· The festival highlights feature-length and short films in 3 major categories – American Spectrum (domestic films), World Cinema (foreign films) and Matter of Fact (documentaries of any origin).

· All feature-length films, in any category, are eligible for the $1,000 Grand Prize Jury award.

· Films of any genre and medium are encouraged to submit, including animation, student films and experimental projects.
